As an answer to: Gotcha for sure. written by Paul B. at 02 Mar 2003 10:38:14:
Thanks Paul. As you know I was angry when I first saw what he was writing about me and Jim, till I realized it made him look bad, and not us. It's nice to see he's paying so much attention to what I'm saying, and spreading the word. Even the warning to "beware of people like this" points directly to my photo from my yahoo ausilona profile, and it's also the same photo he uses on his C5 site. His obsession is as tragic as his inability to see that he's falling flat on his face.
I can relate to the computers always needing attention. This time the power supply to mine has died and I'm on my daughter's computer for a little while. I'm too tired to worry about it right now. I'm still trying to get over my extreme tiredness after my holiday. I find it quite odd because while we are ahead of Hawaii by 20 hours, it virtually makes it only a 4 hour difference, but it's the day before there. I can't stop falling asleep. The guys in fathermag will be thinking I've fallen off the planet, and some will be wishing I had lol.
>> Aww, crap, I slipped.
>Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practise to deceive!
>Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832) Marmion. Canto vi. Stanza 17.
>Therein lies the problem, to have an alter ego, it must be consistent. It is hard work; it requires effort!
>> By the way, I at least have had the integrity never to post as some other poster. ... Nor have I tried to use multiple names to create the impression that there are a large number of people who see things as I do.
>Good point. You are ethical but others are not - and thereby stands the whole matter. Feel free to continue as before, both of you - why not?
>Back to the point about work. Most of us really have far too much to do to spend time chasing shadows on such things as these fora. I for one would truly love to have so much "free" time that I could do certain things, such as build a really good circumcision FAQ to my liking. Perhaps it doesn't matter, others have done it - NOCIRC and such, but sometimes it surprises me that there are overall so few of us actually "manning" this site - and FatherMag.
>Obviously it takes a certain determination to spend time here rather than elsewhere As I write, I should be rebuilding my business server machine - and of course I will, and I will do so as my very next task.
>Nevertheless, how galling it is to see others who apparently have just so much time to fritter away, that they can collate such utter garbage as some of the truly dangerous and stupid advice comprising that site? Fortunately, it turns back to bite himself, as most can see that the quotes he has collated are perfectly sensible themselves, while his rants are anything but.
