do I need treatment?

Hello, I'm a 21 year old student currently attending uni in NY.

Ever since I was 17, retracting the foreskin has become a rather painful task. (I don't seem to have a problem doing this without an erection) While it can be done during erection it cannot be done to the full extent since it tightens about halfway down the glans and becomes rather painful to pursue this further. However, not having much knowledge about the topic I took this as normal and went on with my life.

It wasn't until last summer when I had intercourse with my girlfriend for the first time that i realized this may be a problem. Upon coming to this website I realized that I might have a condition on my hands. I was wondering what kind of common treatments are out there for me to look into.
