Right question, begging wrong answer

Actually, Jim, it took a fair bit of determination! That wasn't the first doctor he consulted, because that doctor's advice did not suit him. In fact, from his testimony, I seem to recall that the second doctor gave him the same advice as the first.
No, he really had to shop around to get the advice he wanted. And he really did want that third doctor's advice.
