All is going fairly well, my foreskin retracts reasonably easily even during an erection and I continue to stretch my frenulum which is still very very short and puts up a lot of resistance.

Actually, from looking at your pictures, I get the distinct impression that what you take to be your fraenulum, is in fact, one of the adhesions which extends completely across the fraenulum area. Generally, there should be nowhere near as deep a "crypt" or "pocket" formed by the fraenulum (on each side).

> But there is one other worry on my mind. A few months ago I posted a message on this board about ligaments.

Adhesions is what you meant.

> I took some pictures. They are on the web and they will stay there for a couple of days, long enough, I hope, to get some feedback from this list,

I have taken the liberty of providing a "mirror" if it is Geocities censorship which concerns you, which I trust will be more "durable" than Geocities - unless you specifically request their removal.

> The problem is this: on the right side of my penis, the foreskin is nicely detached from my gland.

No, as I say, I think it shares the same fate as the left, on the lower aspect. (focus is terrible!).

> On the left, though, the situation is different. There are some ligaments (next to the fraenulum) connecting the gland to the foreskin.

Adhesions, over the fraenulum. And as someone else said, it is "glans" which means something singular like "acorn" or "cap" in Latin or something...

These are possibly due to chronic irritation over a long time, but could result from a more limited and recent infection. They certainly do not look like persistent infantile synechiae (and will not be as easy to part), or a congenital defect.

> To me, it looks like stretching is not going to help much there as these ligaments should be ripped (by stretching) or cut (surgically). I would really appreciate a second opinion.

I side with the others insofar as there is no harm, particularly at your age (young, whatever it is), in persisting with stretching. I have had less than favourable results with older gentlemen, attempting to dissect (cut), or indeed, part (tear away) similar adhesions, as they tend to re-form. Stretching is really the common pathway to fixing them by whatever means.

Nevertheless, you may if you are brave, focus on one or two of them - such as the middle two (of four visible) on the left, and see if you can part them, using fingers only. There does appear to be a cleavage plane (visible as a dark line) in these which may separate fairly easily. You would still likely get some bleeding and would need to (pull back and) apply an ointment (Zinc and Caster Oil, or perhaps Betadine) frequently for a few days to prevent the adhesion re-forming.

> When you view the page, you must move your mouse over the words "left" and "right" to view the pics. There is a specific reason why I did this, it's not just to make things fancier.

I thought it was "just to make things fancier"? Care to explain quite why? Problems with crawlers?
