Well, there are really two alternatives here - either you were lacking in information, or you simply aren't sufficiently intelligent to integrate the information. That's about it. And it isn't the put-down it seems - it is OK not to be smart, and it is OK to make bad decisions in consequence. Reasonable people will accept you for what you are except for one situation - if you refuse to accept correction, but try to glorify your stupidity and knowingly try to lead others to follow suit. "Misery loves company" is undoubtedly true, but does not condone such behaviour.

That would depend on what information is available. Given the wrong information, one might certainly make the wrong choice. Given the right information however, even along with the wrong information, then just a modicum of intelligence will allow the right choice to be made, because one of the cardinal indicators of intelligence is deduction - the ability to take limited information, and complete the paradigm.

Not if there were a straightforward solution that I could execute easily, on my own. And beyond that, once I twigged to the fact that (as Jim put it so well,) the surgical solution does not offer, or permit, a normal sex life, I'd accept years of whatever difficulty a tight foreskin might cause, in preference to that!

But you see, I am diametrically different to yourself. I have somewhat above normal attention span, and the ability to delay gratification where there is a benefit. I daresay that's why I do what I do, whilst you are, not to put too fine a point on it, a loser!

And this is why I so confidently make that last comment. You live in a crowd of losers, and measure yourself against losers' standards. You've said it all with that comment. For you at 17, life didn't exist beyond the next six months. The concept of a loving relationship with a woman which would last a whole five years, let alone twenty-five, unimaginably fifty, means nothing there.

In fifteen years your mates will be divorced, lonely, embittered, perennially fighting the courts about access rights to their children and if they develop the "nouse" to make the connection, asking themselves just what were they doing back then, "shagging themselves silly"? But having been circumcised (or whatever) to match them, you at least will be happy - because you'll be in the same boat.
