Retraction with a 1/4 inch orifice is not too wise...you need to pull out and away from the glans to begin, much like the bottom picture, though it shows a much bigger opening. Follow Jim's directions and you'll be fine in no time. By the way, you and me...we had almost exactly the same 'problem', same size orifice. The difference is that I didn't have good advice or understanding and made the absurd mistake of agreeing to a circumcision. You DON'T want to go that route, believe me. Worst mistake of my life.
