Personally, I don't think there is much harm in condtioning it to touch. Once you have established a relationship with a partner, your partner may wish to touch you, so having a penis which doesn't cause you jump out of bed when touched may be an advantage.
In making deliberate touches, rather than feather-light ones, you can overcome the problem. Make a firm contact. Think of putting a contact lens into your eye. You know, normally, if you try to touch your eyeball, you'll flinch, right? However, when putting in a lens, you can do so because the act is deliberate. You'll get the same response from the glans that your eyeball would give.
