No tests have been run, but when he was 2-3, his ped prescribed antibiotics for the infection. It goes away on it's own, though, so I haven't been taking him to the Dr for them. I decided to try a Urologist to see if the underlying cause of the infections was stemming from his inability to retract. I am learning as I go about this, so please be patient. I have just recently read about non-retractability at his age being normal, so we are going to try to be patient with this, and see if it indeed resolves on it's own. I was just concerned that these infections are NOT normal, and why they are occurring.
The Urologist said that the hydrocortizone may help the foreskin to become more elastic.

>Has your doctor actually done tests to identify the problem, or is he merely guessing? This is absolutely essential to know before treatment begins. If it is not bacterial, antibiotics are of no use.

>Did you know previously that seven year old boys have no need to retract?
