That doesn't mean there is no danger in it --- well since that's ALL that AJ whines about and not people's personal experience in using tools, I don't think your comment right now is valid at all. Even more, if I would -- god forbid -- have a big experience in using corks and whatnot, that still wouldn't mean AT ALL that if I go around and suggest it, it's just as safe in someone else's hands than as they are in mine (I don't see how anyone can actually hurt oneself with a cork made out of soft CORK (well, definitely not a plastic one, hell!)). So the FACT that you can't and didn't hurt yourself with a syrings does NOT mean anyone else couldn't either. Therefore, by the simple logic, it is just as "dangerous" as say, a cork would be.
Though actually, neither are dangerous in the hands of any sane person, but that's ANOTHER view of the story, which would point out that you're flaming at Jim without a good reason --- AJ repeatedly parroting about Jim's suggestions included, which mentioned suggestions had been on a half-year hiatus IN THE MEANWHILE.

As for I'm not being useful /at all/, you're far off. I have stretched my foreskin as I have told you when you asked.

If you want to make trouble, do it somewhere else, and stop investigating people.
