>I had a frenuloplasty about 3 months ago. The reason for me having it done was because my frenulum kept tearing when I was having sex which caused a lot of discomfort. I bled a lot and it actually put me and my girlfriend off sex for a long while. I have no regrets after having it done. I'm now absolutely fine. I tried to put the operation off for quite a while but now i've had it done. if someone has tight foreskin I would reccomend it to them. I did not have any pain after the operation either, it was just slightly uncomfortable. Your really swollen afterwards but thats expected! make sure you pull your foreskin back after a few days to get it back to normal as soon as poss. The stitches are dissolvable, so theres no worries there! I say go for it...

Tell us about the long term effects. I know swelling is possible, but it will be forgotten in a couple of months once everything is back to normal. Any loss of sensitivity though won't be forgotten for a lifetime. That's what I think. From what I know the most sensitive part of the penis is not the frenulum itself, but the area of the glans right under the frenulum. Therefore a frenuloplasty in any kind should not decrease the glans sensitivity. I am now stretching my frenulum daily and I find it amazing how much force I can use to pull that piece of skin before it starts to hurt. I don't think the frenulum is all that important. But... as always, it is best to hear from someone who has experienced frenuloplasty. The rest is just theory. So I'm glad you posted here and hope to hear more from you.
