If the spring on a screen door is so tight that it takes an effort to open the door, you either stretch it carefully and deliberately (or in time, through use) or you remove it, altogether. Stretching the spring allows full function to be maintained. Removing the spring defeats the purpose of having a screen door in the first place. Imagine a house full of flies and mosquitos. It becomes unliveable when conditions are most salutary for experiencing within the glories of the natural, outer, world.

How silly it is to remove the spring, because the effort to open the door is painful. It demonstrates an indolent nature and a lack of reason and logic in solving a simple problem.
