Human are allowed to make mistakes, especially given his circumstances where he was mislead by then-current "medical knowledge" and was offered ONLY circumcision as a solution for his tight foreskin. He has tried everything to lessen the damage done to him -- and what indirectly HE did to HIMSELF --, and sacrificed his life on saving people from making the same decision as blindly and uninformed as he had to do, and on guiding other people on the way of an easier accepting of their mutilation --- which most of them had no say against.

You judge too fast, chImp, and this is a big problem of your character.
