unsure of circumcision

ok this is my first post on this sort of site, i'd appreciate some advice. I have never had sex and have only just started to open up about it to people, i have had a tight foreskin throughout my life, but since adulthood i have been able to pull it back when soft, but it hurts when i try it when its erect. My glans is so sensitive, its not pleasurable when someone else masturbates me, in fact it usually hurts, i use my own techniques. i have tried to have sex but i lose my erection shortly after penetration. i am about to see a specialist because i think i might need a circumcision, as my problems seem to stem from my foreskin etc. I have tried stretching but it hurts too much. Am i doing the right thing? Has anyone had an experience like mine?
