In general, one can say that stretching is based upon growth of cells. Surely, every adult has grown billions upon billions of cells. I need more concrete "experience" that THAT. Surely, Jim stretched his foreskin length-wise. However, in order to do so, you have to stand upright and attach some *heavy* thing to it. You *can't* sleep and stretch length-wise at the same time. Hence, Jim has no experience with passive stretching of the foreskin while asleep.
Keeping hard objects out of the way from a strategically very important organ-the glans- when unconscious, is not a bad idea!
