Well, I completed step 1 of the process, seeing my general physician
today. I got a referral to see a urologist and I plan to set up an
appointment tomorrow. It wasn't so bad. When he asked when I first
noticed the difficulty, I was embarassed to admit I didn't know you
were supposed to clean back there so I told him I just noticed it
recently. He said something appeared to be adhesive to the glans,
but didn't comment on the tightness of the foreskin which I think is
the main problem. He didn't try to talk me out of circumcision, but
made it clear I should understand the risks and benefits that the
urologist will go over with me.I have a few questions for you guys since my surgery is probably only
a few weeks away.- How long after surgery am I going to have to walk funny and feel
general discomfort?- How long after the surgery before I can return to playing
competitive basketball?- If a contact sport like basketball is to be avoided for a while,
can I at least lift weights?- How long does it hurt in the shower?
Thanks very much!
BTW, for the anti-circs that are contacting me...I have made my
decision and unless the urologist presents new information to me, I
will not be talked out of it.
