She said it did retract fully, and now it doesn't. While there is no immediate need for retraction, it certainly wouldn't hurt anything as it sounds as if it already happened. I suspect it was prematurely retracted by force, however gentle, and that caused some damage that healed together. All the more reason to do as many of the doctors are now advising: "Leave it alone."
