I'm not sure who you are, or more important, who you think you are, you simple ass, but you don't know me, know anything about me nor have you ever bothered to read my past posts, otherwise you would know that if anything, I am quite put off by organized religion, main stream, Pentacostals, or fundamentalists, whether they are Christians, Muslims or Jews.
The value of the statement isn't whether religion is true but rather that 2,000 or so years ago, the writer records the participants as questioning circumcision as a valid practice against what is normally considered solely a religious rite, especially given the location and the fact they were all Jews.
