Calling somebody wanker as an insult tends to further the impression that masturbation is something unnatural, unusual and evil. We all know it is just the opposite. We should not use as an insult terms for things that are not actually bad. In the same regard I have to catch myself from using the term ;faggot' as a catchall insult: sex with men would be wrong for me, cause I don't go that way, but I don't think that you are bad because you are different that way. I don't want to further the impression that being gay is "unnatural, unusual, and evil' so I try to avoid using the term as a generic insult, even though my upbringing would say otherwise. So let's not use 'wanker' as an insult - let he who has never wanked cast the first stone.
