Aah, but AJ didn't 'give' anything, other than maybe a bit of attention, which chImp's electronic tantrums have garnered anyway. Since chImp already knew this tidbit (through his review of most or all of the Arc2 archive), AJ got a chance to hold him to his word and see what it is worth. If it works, wow, what a deal. If it doesn't, nothing is lost (and besides, that wasn't the most painful admission anyway).
