It is a shame there wasn't a subgroup which was given stretching exercises as well. It is also disturbing that those who had not had 'adequate' resolution in twelve weeks were just amputated. Still, if 87% success is achieved without stretching exercises (other than, of course, what comes naturally), imagine how much better a combined approach would do.
It seems typical that the medical establishment would rely on something which needs a prescription to solve a perceived problem. I suppose we should be happy with the glacial pace of their enlightenment. Perhaps in another twenty-five years they will discover stretching with prescription devices which the afflicted will be told to "shove down their foreskins", for a hefty fee, of course.
