In the several months I had been coming here before the "chImp" posts appeared, we had been getting a pretty good stream of substantive comments, some from regulars sharing ideas or information, some from occasional visitors with questions or comments. Although there was some tension between a few of the regulars, and it on occasion got rather testy and even personal, it did not drive visitors away. The flood of annoying and pointless comments coming from you has coincided with a dramatic drop-off of visitors discussing problems, and I believe the former caused the latter (whoever posts as Anonymous isn't helping either!).

As for your particular query about re-posting old stuff, I cannot agree. First, if people want to review old material, they easily can. I have, and obviously you have as well. Second, you seem to be the only one with the time or inclination to re-post old materials, and your editorial judgment appears to be as defective as Michael Moorer's. And third, I believe people come to a site like this for an on-going lively discussion. I don't particularly want you to go away, nor to become stodgy (yeah, like that's about to happen!), but to be fairly substance oriented with enough humor for leavening rather than smothering.
