Well-documented? The probability of getting HIV through vaginal intercourse is 1/1000, that means it is possible to get HIV through just ONE intercourse. However, there are other documented cases where a husband had HIV, but didn't even pass it on to his own wife!

Here's a case

>>* It takes 1000 (unprotected) intercourses with an HIV person to get it
>This is absolute unadulterated BS. Transmission on as little as a single exposure is well-enough documented.

OK, one of the natural ways at least (transmission through vaginal intercourse is NOT it's natural way, since no virus could "make a living" on 1000 intercourses!)

Btw, if the life expectancy is 10-20 years, how come

Kids with HIV do not die? That quote was about young men tested for HIV in the army, who most probably got theirs from their mother.

>>* The most natural way of tranmitting HIV is from mother to children. All other such viruses are harmless (the baby dies ----> the virus dies)
>Huh - why is this the 'most natural way'

Evolution! If a virus depends upon transmission from mother to child, that child should be able to live long enough to have children of his/hers own, otherwise the virus gets extinct!!!

>and besides, the death of the child would only kill the viruses within the child, not what continues to replicate within the mother.
>>* In HIV/AIDS patients, at most 1/1000 of T-cells are infected with HIV.
