Jim, I think it would be fairer to say that people losing lots of weight never revert to the tightness of a uniquely slim person. When you look at the weight loss ads - or reports, (not that I would trust them, of course), you see two categories; those who are pleased with a modest weight loss, who are shown in bikinis, and those who have achieved a major weight loss, who are shown in dresses. And even the first group are never shown in close-ups!

It's all about elasticity. Skin has a certain range of elasticity, which is to say it has a minimum and a maximum size for any given piece. People do vary in their skin elasticity, and of course, elasticity is lost with age, especially after 65 or so.
