1b) is the safest, most easily controllable and most effective method, with ZERO chance for paraphimosis (not that that would be anything complicated to treat...)

That I'd guess will relieve you of some of the pain you experience. on the other hand, the glans is designed to be an internal something, and that's pretty much what inside a vagina or inside a foreskin means. more exposure to air, water, etc. will lessen its sensitivity, and later you will become able to endure touching, god forgive, rubbing it with a dry hand. THIS in particular is a personal experience; I'm intact but my glans is not too sensitive anymore.
