Somehow I think not....don't trust that doctor anymore.Don't trust ANY doctor who advises surgery on your genitals. His interest is in his own fascination with surgery, not with your problems.
>How essential is betnovate to stretching and can I get it from elsewhere? The reason they both gave was that is would thin the skin and cause splitting.
The use of a thinning cream to aid stretching is not essential to the process. Your fingers and determined efforts are what is most needed.
>There seems to be a term bandied on this newsgroup about "sensitive" glans. In my case, just stick with "incredibly painful". It hurts like fuck when any contact is made with anything. Somebody mentioned lubrication and it helps a bit

>the pain, finger contact may cause the pain to ease over time (?).Normally, and perhaps, ideally, the foreskin should be retractable at a fairly early age, which would allow a gradual diminution of high degrees of sensitivity (incredible pain, if you wish) with normal day by day use over time. You wish now to achieve complete retractability by either stretching or surgical means in a very short space of time. One cannot hope to achieve at the same speed the ability to touch a highly sensitive glans without "pain". Until you are able to reduce this oversensitivity over time, you might, perhaps, restrict the surfaces which come in contact with your glans to those objects which are naturally lubricated (such as the vagina) or artifically lubricated. What other choices do you have?
>Finally, why so dead against dorsal slit if it is quick and a minor
