A certain amount of rigidity is necessary in order to be able to penetrate the opening. The suggestion that any damage could be done is a bit far-fetched unless the operator has less than normal mental capacity. This is a method used so commonly in treatment other areas of the body that it is certainly not a revolutionary idea. Frankly, I wish I could draw credit for its idea, but I simply stole the idea from medicine and the foreskin restoration revolution.
