I wouldn't put much stock in that notion. As for the home decor thing. That might apply in some circumstances. The gay men I've worked with in the past were a little feminine (camp, is the English term) and shared an interest with the wimmins o'the world in those kind of past times that are traditionally female oriented. That's a stereotype, I think. But all peoples are different, so trying to pigeon hole them into a category based on one or two actions, behaviours or beliefs is a simple way to allow people to sometimes not bother getting to know and appreciate others as individuals, regardless of the differences.
