Question about ejaculation

this may sounds a little stupid (and sorry if it does) but i was just wondering, when you ejaculate after masterbation, is it meant to always shoot out in the air? because it only ever shoots out some times when i masterbate and even sometimes it takes a few seconds for it to come out. most the time it comes out quickly but never shoots out in the air, and on the offchance that it does shoot out i have to be very stimulated for it to do so.
