Martin, the single person here qualified to address your problem is Paul. I'll no doubt get slammed by those who deny his qualifications, but if you'll read back through the archives, it should become apparent to you that he is medically trained and he has had experience working with problems similar to yours.

Is your physician refusing any other kind of treatment? BXO usually seems to respond to streroids, and the substance that Ralesk speaks of has had some success to. Perhaps if you were to mention these things to the doctor he might have the common sense to research them. While there are some here who think all doctors know all things, it is usually impossilbe for most of them to keep up with every bit of news that comes from research. Your best bet may possibly be your family practicioner who is usually trained to know quite a bit about a lot of different aspects of human treatment. However, that doesn't mean they're all good. I strongly caution you about urologists whose main focus is on the internal working parts of the genito-urinary tract. If you see any specialist at all, your best bet will be a dermatologist who understands skin.
