It wasn't only a frenuloplasty - the doctor cut some of the foreskin too (partial circ) to prevent paraphimosis problems. Is it possible to have an infection? How do you know when you get one?

I do keep the area clean, but I can't retract yet, so it's difficult to wash the whole glans and the innner foreskin. I also have bandage on it. It really hurts when I get an erection at night and I suspect that this has caused the problem.
