AJ, you are quite wrong. The Gator Corporation is a bunch of sons of bitches(they produce "parasites"). Basically, if you click "OK" on some of their banners, some nasty dll files will be added to the list of dll files started at start up. I know, I've been there. 29/F is absolutely right to avoid these nasties.
Btw, EVERYTHING that installs stuff without your explicit permission is a virus. OK, JavaScript prohibits access to the disk or the memory, however I'm sure IE accepts other scripts that have direct access to the memory (and once you do that, you can run Interrupt calls). All C programs have direct access to RAM, and I think C script languiages have it too.
>I appreciate you are not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to computer, 29/F, so I'll make it easy for you:
>Network54 put banners on their forums, not me.
>The pop up ads do not contain any virus software.
>Oh, also, you friend Jim/Gus/Dr.W etc, uses a Network54 forum so perhaps you should address your trojan theory with him too?
>Thanks for your concern though, it is much appreciated.
